MUTOH America Inks Compliant with CPSIA and California Prop
65 Regulations
Phoenix, AZ – April 2025 – MUTOH America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of wide-format printers and inks, is proud to announce that three of its ink lines—US-11, UH-21, and MP-31—are now compliant with U.S. toy safety regulations, including the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and California Proposition 65.
This compliance allows toy manufacturers, educational product creators, and medical facilities to safely use MUTOH printers and inks in the production of goods intended for use by children and in sensitive environments. While not a formal certification, the inks meet the chemical content requirements outlined in both CPSIA and Prop 65, helping manufacturers remain compliant with federal and California-specific regulations.
“These specific MUTOH inks represent our commitment to safety, innovation, and market adaptability,” said Brian Phipps, President of MUTOH America, Inc. “By ensuring our inks meet these standards, we’re opening up new possibilities for clients serving industries where safety and compliance are paramount.”
Unlike other certifications for specific applications, this compliance applies to the ink formulations themselves, giving manufacturers more flexibility in how they incorporate MUTOH solutions into their workflows. With this announcement, MUTOH strengthens its position as a trusted partner in sectors requiring high standards of safety and performance.
