A New Class of Technology: Water + UV = Instant, Sustainable Printing

The HydrAton 1642 integrates AQUAFUZE™ technology, delivering the environmental profile of water-based ink with the fast-drying, durable performance of UV-curable systems.

Unlike traditional aqueous or latex systems that may require extended drying or curing, AQUAFUZE technology cures rapidly, allowing immediate downstream processing. The ink is low odor, low VOC, and classified as GHS hazard-free, requiring no hazard pictograms.

Operating at lower media temperatures (30–50 °C) during drying, the technology also reduces energy consumption and expands compatibility with heat-sensitive substrates. The resulting printed film is ultra-thin, scratch-resistant, and does not require primers, overcoats, or optimizers to achieve durability.

The HydrAton 1642 has already received international recognition, including a 2025 EDP Award for innovation in Europe.
